Harrisburg, April 16, 2013 – At today’s Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (LBFC) meeting, Senator Brewster (D-Allegheny/Westmoreland) was unanimously confirmed to serve as vice chairman. This is the second year Sen. Brewster will have served in this position.
“This is a true honor to once again serve a significant position in this important committee,” Brewster said. “I look forward to another session of informative reports.”
The LBFC is a bipartisan, bicameral legislative service agency consisting of 12 members of the General Assembly. The committee conducts studies and makes recommendations aimed at eliminating unnecessary expenditures; promoting economy in the government; and assuring that state funds are being expended in accordance with legislative intent and law.
