Harrisburg – Oct. 17, 2014 – The ceremony to dedicate the ramp off of the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge for Officer Frank Miller Jr. is slated for 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20.
Officer Miller was slain in 1993 while walking a beat in downtown McKeesport. Sen. Jim Brewster prime-sponsored the bill (SB 1225) that named the ramp for Officer Miller. The legislation was signed into law on June 18.
Officer Miller’s parents, McKeesport Mayor Mike Cherepko, the chief of police in McKeesport, police officers plus local and state officials will join Brewster for the dedication ceremony.
